The occurrence of a military coup will be verified through reporting by major international news agencies. For an event to be recognized as a military coup for the purposes of this bet, it must be reported and confirmed by at least three of the following news agencies: BBC, CNN, Reuters, Al Jazeera, and The New York Times. Official statements or confirmations from Israeli governmental sources can also be used as verification.
