European Union is enacting new regulations on cryptocurrency transactions as part of its anti-money laundering (AML) efforts. Large anonymous transfers from self-hosted wallets to regulated crypto service providers will be banned. Transactions above certain thresholds (€1,000 in some proposals) will require identity verification.

Will a similar law be approved by the Senate in the US?

This question will resolve YES if at some point before 2040, there will exist some US law that makes it illegal for some businesses to pay or receive funds to/from anonymous blockchain wallets above a certain threshold (can be 0). Resolves NO otherwise.
