This market will predict the total known human population at the end of the year 2030. The market will resolve based on the first World Population Prospects report (or the most authoritative and widely accepted report, if this is not available) released after December 31, 2030, which provides the total estimated human population on that date. The market pertains only to the known human population living inside the volume contained by Earth's natural atmosphere and does not account for any potential discrepancies due to unknown or uncounted populations.

Wow this is actually pretty dark.

The market is messed up. I can't bet higher than 7.9B, the estimated return on any "higher" bet is < 1%, and it's not clear how limit orders work.
