Printed weekday editions refers to newspaper editions availble on a Mon,Tue,Wed, Thu or Fri printed on physical paper.

Retail store refers to any third-party reseller of magazines and newspapers, not directly affilliated with the NYT. This includes supermarkets and independent stores among others.

New York Times refers to the newspaper hosted on www.nytimes.com in 2023. If this company changes name in the meantime, the bet still applies to the newspaper under the new name.

There are a few scenario's that can resolve this market in NO:
- Someone involved in this market buys a paper copy of a weekday NYT edition from a retail store and shares the proof.

-There is information available from official NYT sources about the fact that the paper edition can be bought in retails stores.

(The form factor of the source is not relevant, it can be NYT website, NYT official social media, or a reply from the official helpdesk. )

In scenario's where the above prove was not possible to be gathers, the market resolves to NO.

This includes among others (as illustration)

  • printed editions are only available in subscribtions or directly from NYT

  • NYT is no longer publishing weekday editions

  • NYT is not a newspaper company anymore

  • NYT does not longer exist
