I am very happy with the cursor ide, am paying for a premium account and use it for my daily development tasks.

Especially the new composer is a game changer.

I try out new stuff regularly (i.e. swe-agent and similar agents, different LLMs, new features of anthropic and openai etc).

Have you tried Windsurf IDE? I have not and am in the same boat as you using Cursor as my daily driver. But I am curious about Windsurf IDE

what even would be an alternative editor? Plain VSCode + Copilot is clearly inferior. I used Zed for 5 seconds then Cursor came out and I took a while but now I can't see a good reason to switch away
