Trades to an opposite league will NOT affect eligibility.

For example, in the unlikely event that Shohei Ohtani is traded from the Los Angeles Dodgers to the New York Yankees this offseason, plays for the Yankees and wins the MVP award in the American League, this market would still resolve YES.

In the unlikely event that either of the Cy Young-winning pitchers wins MVP, this would not count as a YES for this market unless they also won the Cy Young Award, which has been won by every pitcher who has been selected as league MVP.

Any of the players among Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Tarik Skubal, and Chris Sale must win their respective award from 2024 for this market to resolve YES.
