Let's just pretend they merge with Visma and then the following season they are called Visma-Lease A Bike, but they have Quick-Step and Soudal logos on their uniform. Both "will leave as title sponsor" would resolve Yes in this case?

If they merge with Visma and then Jonas Vingegaard wins the TDF GC the next year, that....also resolves Yes? I'm not sure this is something I want to bet on/answer.

What proportion of the team has to move to call it a merger? This seems like the trickiest bit.

  1. Yes, they wouldn't serve as the title sponsor in this specific scenario.

  2. Yes, if you prefer not to bet on it, that's fine. Alternatively, they could directly sign Vingegard, Pogacar or Roglic.

  3. I'd lean towards the consensus in media reports and common sense rather than relying solely on hard facts. The contracts between the teams would be important in this situation.
