Big city in this question would be over 150.000 population.

Special cities like Melilla or Ceuta in Spain or similar would not count.

Only countries part of EU in 2023 counts, if Turkey is added to EU it would not count

Birmingham (now maybe 30 percent Muslim) has by now already 50 percent Muslim newborn. From 2011 to 2021 the percentage of Muslims rose about 10 percentage points. It seems like a plausible candidate.

The closest as of September 2023 is Montpellier at 26.6%.

Resolves as YES: Istanbul is a big European city that has more than 50% Muslim population.

@a2bb obviously I meant western Europe, countries like Germany, Belgium, France, etc...

My bad and thanks

predicts YES

@Mikelon797 It is not obvious at all, and western Europe isn't clear either.

@a2bb I would not ask something by 2050 that is already true 😅

@Mikelon797 you should make this more clear. Turkey is seen by many as part of the 'west" going back to the cold War e.g. its NATO membership...

@DanielPugh thanks for feedback, one updated it. Sorry for any inconveniences
