This will also resolve positively if a country announced plans for a new nuclear power plant and joined the EU, both within 2024.

Power plants must be commercial, i.e. connected to the grid. Experimental reactors not intended to produce net power do not count.

Resolving to yes because France announced the construction of eight additional reactors in January of 2024, adding on to the six they originally planned as part of the same bill.

I consider that satisfying the spirit of the question.

@NiklasHaas you could have resolved it in January 2024 then, why wait until April 2025?

Would new commercial reactors still considered in a somewhat experimental phase count? These are typically connected to the grid. Or is the criteria "Experimental reactors do not count" strictly excluding new reactors that won't be connected to the grid?

@Mattfr If the reactor is planned to be capable of feeding net power into the grid, it counts.
