The UK TV Licence is clearly going to need replacing at some point. The first year to meet the following criteria will resolves YES:

• The UK government passes legislation abolishing the licence fee as-at this year

  • e.g. if legislation passes in 2025 taking effect in 2026, 2026 is the year that will resolve YES

• The UK government passes legislation that renders a TV licence either free or otherwise not relevant for the majority of the UK population as-at this year

  • Again resolves based on date of effect not date of legislation passing.

Until this happens, each answer will resolve NO at the end of the relevant year, and another year will be added as an answer.
