The Economic Intelligence Unit releases a democracy index every year which rates how democratic each country is. Countries are grouped into four categories: full democracy (8.01 - 10), flawed democracy (6.01 - 8), hybrid regime(4.01 - 6), and authoritarian regime (0 - 4), based on how highly they score on this index. The U.S. is currently rated as a flawed democracy, having a score (in 2022) of 7.85. However, it is near the threshold and was rated as a full democracy prior to 2016. In which years will it again be rated as a full democracy?

Note: As of writing this, the ratings for 2023 haven't been released yet. If for some reason ratings are not released for a year, that year resolves N/A.

I earned 0.5 cents for looking at Wikipedia. Post-pivot liquidity is still really bad :(

I wonder if the standards increase with time. Like, once the UK has "one person, one vote" (proportional representation), will they start requiring that, thus dragging down the US' score?
