The range: 0 is the theoretical minimum. Other sources estimate that somewhere around $200 billion was invested in US startups in 2023 so 5 times as much as would be definitively record setting but is low enough to allow for a precision of 0.1

Resolution: once Crunchbase releases an article about 2024 that has a top-line investment number into AI startups that is backed up by a crunchbase data link as in the article referenced below. I will take that top line number, divide it by $50 billion and then resolve to the nearest 0.1 as the precision in this market allows.
