Kamala Harris is the Vice President and the presumptive Democratic nominee for the Presidential election.

This means that there are two different ways that she could become President by January 2025 - she could replace the current President due to her position in the line of succession or she could win the Presidential election and take over from the current President on Inauguration Day.

Will she become President before Inauguration Day? Will she become President on 20th January? Or will neither of these routes to the White House apply to her meaning that she has still never been President by the end of the day on 20th January?

Resolution notes:

• (This should be obvious, but I'll say it anyway) This market is about whether Harris will become the President of the US. Becoming President of another country, President of her book club or any other such role will not count.

• Becoming acting President will not be sufficient for this market. For example, if Harris is acting President while Biden is in surgery or otherwise incapacitated, that will not be sufficient unless she actually takes over as President.

• This is a linked market rather than an independent one. If Harris becomes President before inauguration day, that option resolves to YES and the others resolve to NO (ie. there is no option to re-resolve if she then loses the Presidency, wins the election and becomes President again on inauguration day)

• If Harris becomes the President for any reason, that is sufficient. This includes, but is not limited to Biden resigning, Biden dying or becoming incapacitated, Biden being removed under the 25th Amendment, etc.

• If Inauguration Day is delayed for any reason meaning that Harris is not President by 23:59:59 (Washington DC time) on 20th January, the market will resolve to "not President before 21st January".
