Trump appears to have used AI to make a fake endorsement from Taylor Swift. This likely breaches privacy and new AI generated content laws. If Swift takes legal action against Trump for this act then it resolves yes.

"Recently I was made aware that Al of 'me' falsely endorsing Donald Trump's presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around Al, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth."

Acknowledges AI but stops short of legal action.

Some discussion here:

_"Trump’s post — featuring a photorealistic, AI-generated replica of Swift’s image without her consent — would almost certainly violate that new federal law. But even without the NO FAKES Act, states across the country already protect the right of publicity and would likely give Swift grounds to sue Trump or his campaign. Silbey says Swift might also explore suing him for defamation, claiming the false presidential endorsement harmed her reputation.

Whether the star should do so is a different question. Such litigation would be long and costly and Trump has potential defense strategies, including pinning the blame on the people who originally created the images, or arguing that his posts were free speech shielded by the First Amendment. And even if Taylor won, it’s hard to say whether it would be worth the effort to pull down one post."_

Resolves NO at expiration (Dec 31st, 2024), right?

How will it be handled if she's talking about suing, but hasn't actually filed suit yet when the date hits?

I think it should resolve NO

Gonna spam taylor's socials so I get my big payout here.

Does sending a cease and desist letter count as taking legal action?

I'm open to hearing discussion, but I think no, on the basis it's a letter to say "stop doing this or we we will take legal action". It's not legal action by itself.

i'd agree with that FWIW. it's definitely not technically suing, & I don't think that's how people colloquially use the term either
