Any use of an ABS (Automated Ball-Strike ) system, often referred to as “robo umps” or “robot umpires”, counts. This includes any challenge system using ABS. Will resolve to the year that the first game is played with ABS rules in effect for an MLB game.

If ABS is not used in MLB by 1/1/2027 then the question resolves to “2027 or later”
