Resolution criteria

Conditional on Trump giving Elon a nickname, what will it be? Resolves to the first one used more than once on Truth Social.

N/a if none by 2026

  • Update 2025-06-06 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The count of uses for a nickname to meet the 'more than once' criteria on Truth Social will begin from the time of this market's creation. Any uses of a nickname prior to this market's creation will not contribute to this count.

  • Update 2025-06-16 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): The creator confirms that the market's N/A resolution refers to the cancellation of the market, not a resolution to the user-submitted answer 'N/A'.

Lol Tony and I thought of this randomly standing around at manifest , I had no idea it had gotten so big since then

bought Ṁ1 Answer #IdSOhg6zQs YES

Some random ideas I can't be bothered to create an answer for:

Squealin' Elon
Afrikaner Elon
Immigrant Elon
Autistic Elon

still being diplomatic in his naming here it seems - I wonder what's happening under the surface that neither of them wants to directly insult the other

At this point this market almost seems like a place for people to posit their own nicknames for him rather than something that has any intent to resolve 😂

@BlackCrusade Take the money and run. 😄

Rocket boy actually goes hard

Friend Elon

if trump posts in truth social anything saying that elon is his friend ("my good friend elon" and such), this would resolve YES, right?

@256 he needs to use it more than once to solidify the nickname but, probably?

Fitting

bought Ṁ10 Spacey Elon YES

This was the nickname GPT o3-pro suggested as most likely, hence I added it. Gemini 2.5 Pro/Opus 4 didn't have better ideas. I first asked o3-pro to research the Musk-Trump relationship timeline, then asked to guess the nickname:

bought Ṁ50 Answer #SnPgNcCQuP NO

I'm assuming this also only resolves YES if his nickname is "N/A". @Gabrielle

@4fa Yes, that would be my understanding here.

opened a Ṁ1 The Man Who Lost His... YES at 1.0% order

@4fa Can you confirm, @TonyGao ?

@4fa yes n/a means the market n/a, not the answer n/a

I've edited the "No nickname" option so that it's clear that it only resolves YES if that is his nickname.

@Gabrielle Just to clarify, how can I bet on Trump giving Musk the nickname "No nickname (ONLY RESOLVES YES IF HIS NICKNAME IS 'NO NICKNAME')"? Can you please create an answer entitled "No nickname (ONLY RESOLVES YES IF HIS NICKNAME IS 'NO NICKNAME') (ONLY RESOLVES YES IF HIS NICKNAME IS 'No nickname (ONLY RESOLVES YES IF HIS NICKNAME IS 'NO NICKNAME')')"?

@Gabrielle Not acceptable this late change. My Interpretation and also my guess is, that there won't be a special nickname. So it is absolutely right to have this option as well. Who ever calls someone "no nickname".

@DaniellqdC6 this IS NOT a change in any way, please look into market history:

@DaniellqdC6 This was not a change. The market description has always stated "N/a if none by 2026", so the modification to this answer was simplify making clear what was already true.

@Gabrielle No, the clear message there was if Trump's nickname for Elon was "none by 2026", then it would resolve N/A.

Disappointed none of these choices will resolve to yes if no nickname is chosen.

The description has this as a conditional market, so "No nickname" should resolve NO unless Trump literally calls him "No nickname," right?

@Mattt yes
