Resolution Criteria
This market resolves to the candidate who is elected as the new mayor of Bucharest in the event that Nicușor Dan wins the 2025 Romanian presidential election.
(Interim doesn't count)
Background
Nicușor Dan is the current mayor of Bucharest, having been elected in 2020 as an independent candidate supported by the center-right coalition. He has recently announced his candidacy for the Romanian presidential elections scheduled for May 4, 2025. If no candidate receives a majority (50% + 1) of the number of citizens registered to vote in the first round, a second round will be held on May 18, 2025.
If Dan were to win the presidency, a special election would be held to fill the vacant mayoral position in Bucharest. The candidates listed represent various political parties and backgrounds:
