Any McDonald's stores worldwide are eligible to resolve this market. However, mere Flimsy evidence would not resolve this, nor would trials and experiments because McDonald's does a lot of testing and experiments, and most of them never become official.

As AI voice recognition gets great, McDonald's would probably integrate this into their stores, leading to further displacement of their staff.

Can you clarify if it would resolve YES if the voice order is listened to and processed by a human?

@JonasVollmer No, it'd require voice -> processing automation

predicts YES

So the question is now, will they expand the Ft. Worth model to any other locations in the world next year.

The store opened in late ‘22, and I’ve yet to see any evidence that anyone else has adopted the humanless model in ‘23

@mattyb

There are no employees at the counter, so patrons can only order via touchscreens.

but does not say anything about voice orders

predicts YES

@firstuserhere Good point, I think we’re actually talking about Chicago then, which has “voice-ordering technology at the drive-thrus of 10 Chicago restaurants”

predicts YES

@mattyb Is a drive-through an “ordering station”

@mattyb nope!

McDonald's anywhere in the world.

How should I interpret this? A singular McDonalds location somewhere in the world. Does this mean that if any McDonalds has this, it resolves YES? Or does this mean that a majority have to have it? Or do they all need to have it?

@mattyb

Resolves YES back in 2022

McDonald’s opened its first automated restaurant, with machines handling everything from taking orders to delivering the food – and dividing opinions everywhere.

McDonald's unveils first automated location, social media worried it will cut 'millions' of jobs

@mattyb i think that location was specifically for testing their automated restaurant ideas and not an actual mcDonald's store. Will check.
