This question resolves YES if 60% or more of respondents in any General Social Survey (GSS) before 2030 (i.e. 2022-2029) report "Yes" to the GSS question:

Please tell me whether or not you think it should be possible for a pregnant woman to obtain a legal abortion if. . .

G. The woman wants it for any reason?

Polling by the GSS on this question began in 1977 and has trended upward since the early 2000s, rising from 36% in 2000 to 54% in 2021.

The polling can be viewed with the GSS data explorer under "Social Issues," "Abortion if woman wants for any reason."

Will GSS polling show 60% or more of Americans believe it should be legally possible to get an abortion for any reason in any year before 2030?

What this Trump election has shown us is that the Left has been gaslighting us, as per usual. It turns out that, no, "killing your children" isn't as popular with the average American as they(/them) would have you believe.

Data for 2022 has come out in the GSS.

Approval of abortion "for any reason" increased by 1% compared to 2021, rising from 54% to 55%.

The abortion term is important here. 60% would go with first trimester no problem, but not the nightmare depictions of last minute terminations and baby dismemberment for funsies (satire). Your post is tagged "culture war" but beyond any culture war, any gender, people still respect life and there is a difference between a foetus with half a nervous system and a baby which could survive a premature birth.
