A comeback will be defined as any major home electronics brand developing and selling 3D capable homes television technologies to consumers amounting to at least 500K units per year. I will monitor the forums if there are better suggestions for how to define a "comeback".

Head-mounted displays alone are not enough to satisfy this requirement. A future 3D television should depend on an actual video screen (or projection) which can be viewed in some fashion by more than one person at a time in a home.
