Aunt Jemima was never fully canceled. You can buy it today (they changed the bottle shape, that’s it).

Aunt Jemima Pancake Syrup Original, 12 Fl Oz

@mattyb @strutheo i assume pancake syrup counts as “any product”

@mattyb hold on ill have to look into this - because i was under the impression this was no longer being sold anymore, and if it has been this whole time that kind of ruins the market.

are you sure those are just old product?

> In June 2021, amidst heightened racial unrest in the United States, the Aunt Jemima brand name was discontinued by its current owner, PepsiCo, with all products rebranded to Pearl Milling Company, the name of the company that produced the original pancake mix product.

@strutheo im going to say that it has to be sold by the original manufacturer through a licensed retailer, it isnt easy to verify online where this came from

@strutheo redacted

theyre selling PEARL MILLING COMPANY the replacement product

it seems like they might still have some sold in overseas countries which make their way online, ill clarify this one to USA

@strutheo I think you’re largely right. Walmart is still selling Aunt Jemima, but it’s mostly the new name, same as everywhere else.

Up to you how you want to resolve this, I think new US products are all Pearl Milling.

@mattyb wait even that would be very surprising if walmart did, ill research it

@mattyb most of these are out of stock and probably old listing, but two seem active, very strange. maybe we order one for science lol

@mattyb ah those are spanish country versions listed in the english store for some reason... so ill probably have to be even more specific

I can't believe this is a saga

if I see her on a grocery shelf we're Yes here?

I think you used the wrong link (the one from your previous post)

@PaintspotInfez haha ty, fixed
