No ban before 2041

Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands just proposed a ban on the production of PFAs, which are "forever chemicals" that exist in many consumer products.
Since PFAs are used in some extremely necessary products, I personally think a full ban is unlikely. This question will still resolve positively if Europe announces a heavy restriction on production with small exceptions made for important industries/products.

If they voted next year to phase out all possible PFAs usage by 2040 would that as banning them in 2024 or 2040?

@stirling Great question, should have worded the original question better. I'll change it now. Meant to resolve as the year they vote to ban PFAs.
