curious why people are leaning no in this market? seems very unlikely that this never resolves no, with a small chance for yes, do people actually think there's nothing else out there that's alive? seems very unlikely we are the only life or even intelligent life.

@HarrySeaton8da7 i agree it is very unlikely this never resolves no. Lol. Which is why I bet on no.

The question is will we make contact with another intelligent lifeform. Not, "will we discover intelligent lifeform." Of course I think there is other life out there, but I doubt we will make contact, most definitely not in our life times.

@HarrySeaton8da7 At this point we can be pretty confident any intelligent life would be outside of the Milky Way.

I would put contact with intelligent life in the next 50 years at near 0% given that almost any potential life hosting planet is way more then 50 light years away.

What about AI? This market resolves YES if there's some sort of consensus about there existing an AGI?

@firstuserhere suppose it would, however I don't think I would count human made intelligence.
