Performance rating in chess is the level a player performed at in a tournament or match based on the number of games played, their total score in those games, and the Elo ratings of their opponents. More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Performance_rating_(chess)

Rules:

Classical Elo is used to compute TPR.

Eligible tournaments:

  • pure classical OTB tournaments

  • at least 7 rounds

If someone wins all their games then TPR cannot be calculated.

Best scores last year:

As of now I think Abdusattorov is leading with 2899 in Prague Masters. Gukesh has 2847 from Candidates.

@traders I believe the highest is the 3056 TPR by Gukesh at the Olympiad. Let me know if you found something higher. If not, I will resolve to Gukesh in couple of days.

@Weezing, is there a minimum number of games required?

@DanielTilkin @traders I specified the eligible tournaments more precisely in the description (classical, 7+ rounds).
